Despite some signs in the market signaling a recession, investors with long-term endowments have many reasons for optimism, according to a foundation based in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Harvard University announced today that its endowment has joined Climate Action 100+, an investor-led initiative to ensure that the world’s largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters take steps to address climate change.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) announced today that MIT’s unitized pool of endowment and other MIT funds generated an investment return of 8.8 percent during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. At the end of the fiscal year, MIT’s endowment funds totaled $17.4 billion, excluding pledges.
