Mercer has reached an agreement to acquire Vanguard Institutional Advisory Services’ outsourced cio business, including its more than 1000 clients and 120 team members in the first quarter.
The current consultant will see its contract expire on June 30.
The district received proposals from four consultants in response to an RFP issued in August.
The plan expects to launch the search in January as its incumbent’s contract is slated to expire on June 30.
The selected firm will replace an incumbent that was terminated earlier this year.
The organization is searching for an investment consultant to assist with strategic investment planning, investment manager due diligence, investment market research, portfolio monitoring and investment performance measurement.
The county has four retirement plans totaling $441 million.
The search comes after the incumbent was hired for a three-year contract in 2019.
The search will be conducted as part of a new policy to review vendor services every five years.
The plan received proposals from six consulting firms.
