The endowment is preparing to conduct a search for an investment consultant for its portfolio after wrapping up its U.S. direct lending manager search at its November board meeting.
The director will lead management of the investment portfolio’s quantitative and systematic strategies, primarily sourced through derivative investments.
The decision comes despite pressures from students, staff and the larger university community regarding the investment and management of the portfolio.
The organization hired an impact investing fellow at a nearby foundation to serve as a senior investment analyst and help oversee and manage its portfolio.
The analyst will manage the college’s investment operational data and daily processes, initiate trades, onboard new investments and conduct reconciliation of investment transactions, among other responsibilities.
The position will help with investment manager selection, asset allocation recommendations, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, risk assessments, quantitative analysis and implementing risk controls.
The foundation recently entered the secondaries market by purchasing private equity interests and other illiquid assets from a prominent pension that is considering folding.
The new investment analytics manager will help support and manage the plan’s complex portfolio and risk analytics processes as well as be responsible for several analytical initiatives.
