The new firm will focus predominately on healthcare, industrial, media and marketing, outsourcing, manufacturing and packaging, technology, transportation and logistics and financial and professional services.
The new hire will lead Ares’ diversity, equity and inclusion activities internally, as well as serve as an advisor to support these initiatives at portfolio companies, the firm said.
The plan will interview finalists for its diverse private equity fund-of-funds search next month and tentatively selected a winner in its emerging markets equity search.
